“In Touch with the Earth”
Registration with lunch is now closed. Some extra lunches will be available but in a limited quantity. Further registrations are welcome, but lunches will need to be brought or purchased from one of the numerous restaurants in the area.
On April 20th, the Seattle Betsuin is hosting an EcoSangha seminar on what it means to be part of an EcoSangha
Come and join us in exploring the ways that conservationism intersects with all forms of Buddhism. This event will feature Dr. Duncan Williams, Dr. Jason Wirth, and Reverend Don Castro as our honored guest speakers
The EcoSangha seminar will be a day long event consisting of guest speakers Dr. Duncan Ryuken Williams (author of American Sutra), Dr. Jason Wirth of Seattle University and the temples own Reverend Don Castro.
It will start with a short morning service and welcome message at 9:30am and will run throughout the day with varying speakers and workshops until 4:30 in the afternoon. The day will close out with George Draffan of the NorthWest Dharma Association mediating a discussion on Buddhism and Ecology.
Lunch will be included in the cost of your registration and there will be a discounted price for students. The cost to register is as follows
$25 – Adults
$15 – Students

This is a great opportunity for people and Buddhist’s of different groups and denominations to gather together for discussion on a topic that affects everyone. We urge you to join us for an awesome day where we can all share our thoughts and widen our world views.
