  • SBBWA Annual Memorial Service

The Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Women’s’ Association Annual Memorial Service honors and pays tribute to our organization’s 840+ past members. This organization continues to persevere because of the many strong women who have come before us. Please join us in paying tribute to your grandmothers, your mothers, your aunts, sisters, and many friends that have left us with their legacy, their teachings and many fond memories.

Service will be on Sunday, October 19th, at 10:00am, in the Temple Gym. Rimban Katsuya Kusunoki will deliver the Dharma Talk at this special service to remember and honor our departed SBBWA members. The service will also be streamed on the Seattle Betsuin YouTube channel.

Both the Covid-19 pandemic and the arson fire at the temple prevented us from holding our annual SBBWA memorial services in the Hondo during these years. Because of these unprecedented circumstances, we will pay special tribute to our members who passed away between 2020 and 2024, as well as those who passed away this year.

We extend a cordial invitation to you, your family, and friends to join the families of our deceased members in honoring the memory of their loved ones. The photos and/or names of these women will be presented during the service.

    With Gassho,

    Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Women’s Association
