The Seattle Buddhist Church Camp Fire program, affiliated with Camp Fire USA, has over 60 youth members and is the oldest continuously-operating Camp Fire group in the United States. The program was honored in July 2010 at a Camp Fire USA centennial celebration at Magnuson Park.
Founded in 1934, suspended during World War II, then reactivated in 1950, the Seattle Buddhist Church Camp Fire group continues 60 years later to instill self-confidence and empower youth.
Camp Fire is open to both boys and girls in 1st through 12th grade.

Joining Camp Fire at the Seattle Buddhist Church involves registering annually with two bodies: the Central Puget Sound Council Camp Fire organization AND the temple’s Camp Fire Group #699. Each has its own registration form and fee.
First, complete and submit the Central Puget Sound Council Camp Fire registration form, with appropriate registration fee, to the central Camp Fire offices. Next, complete and submit the Seattle Buddhist Church Camp Fire Group #699 registration form, with appropriate registration fee, to your group Leader or to the temple Camp Fire registrar. See form instructions for fee, deadline and submission information.
