The Seattle Buddhist Church Camp Fire program, affiliated with Camp Fire USA, has over 60 youth members and is the oldest continuously-operating Camp Fire group in the United States. The program was honored in July 2010 at a Camp Fire USA centennial celebration at Magnuson Park.
Founded in 1934, suspended during World War II, then reactivated in 1950, the Seattle Buddhist Church Camp Fire group continues 60 years later to instill self-confidence and empower youth.
Camp Fire is open to both boys and girls in 1st through 12th grade.
